Hurray! A new, adrenaline pumping horse racing action is coming! The perfect time to bring back the glamor of horse racing while Del Mar is as cool as its weather. A place where ocean breeze, surf, the sun gets to know fast horses, mint juleps, and big hats.

If you weren’t aware, the Opening Day of Del Mar Horse Racing attracts more than 50,000 people from San Diego and other places every year and this time will be no different. The grandstand of Del Mar was rebuilt during the early 1900s and its facilities have been updated and maintained since, to this day, the track still has the same charisma racers and racing enthusiast know very well .

It's time to grab those hats as Opening Day is fast approaching. Starting on Friday, November 11, 2016, will go through until December 4, 2016. During the event, you will experience the excitement brought by live thoroughbred racing right at the world-renowned Del Mar Thoroughbred Club.
