Education is an essential tool in a child's life. It is something that he should enjoy, take control of and make rooms for his physical, emotional and intellectual development. That is why it is very critical to choose wisely as to which school your child has to go. In La Jolla, we do have these top rated schools where your children can experience fun while learning.
Wonderful new principal and teachers. High standards are above grade average compared to other schools. Principal Ott strives to include equity and inclusivity at the school and appreciation of diversity in the curriculum.

One word - Exceptional. My son started attending kindergarten this year and thus far my wife and I have been very impressed by the teachers and the exceptional parent involvement and support for the school. The parents of this school have a sense of entitlement and if the school needs anything we all contribute whether it be with our time or financial support. This year the school will raise approximately $250,000 to pay for additional teachers and to support programs for the children. When school lets out daily you will see almost every parent standing outside the classrooms to pick up their kid.

The best thing about La Jolla Elementary is the sense of community. There are so many wonderful families and parents that volunteer. The School Site Governance has a good vision for the direction of the school and focuses on ways to make the students healthy, active, and engaged. My son likes to participate in the before school Run Club. The principal, Ms. Tripi, can be hard to reach but that is because she is busy being an instructional leader. She knows each of the students by name!

This school is great, students are prepared for college education, principal attends all student activities, parents are motivated to get involved in their children education and are welcome to participate in school activities too, the school is ranked as one of the best in the nation and which is best this school is for low income families.

It helped me get to college and it is a great school that encourages low income students to follow their dream of getting to college. The students are amazing and they are one of the most hardworking that I know of. The school does not have a lot of money, and these students need it. Their main goal is to be successful and attend the college of their dreams, they just need a little help with the school budget and this would help out a lot! (:
